Artist StatementMy philosophy on art is really simple: I do things that I enjoy and that interest or fascinate me. I make art because I want to attempt to create beauty or experiment with something I'm curious about. In college I worked primarily in clay and paint, though my interest in other painterly and sculptural mediums are always growing.
Currently, I work in my home studio doing a variety of creative endeavors from paper-crafts to fine art to digital art and design. I'm attempting a working artist attitude and trying to make a living with my artistic ability. I'm trying a lot of different things, which should be apparent when you see my Etsy page. Also, check out my Store page. I liken "good" art to work that is either perceptually beautiful or intellectually stimulating. Not all my art is "good." I don't claim to make beautiful or fascinating work, but I do attempt to try. BioI was born in Oregon in October. I've lived all over the country, including Kentucky and Idaho, but I spent the majority of my childhood in the very small town of Brownsville, Oregon. I graduated with a BFA from Western Oregon University on June 16th, 2012. Currently I live and work in Salem, Oregon.
